    GUNS AND GAMS } journaling:{
    YUMMY IN THE TUMMY }DATE: July 1995
 READY: Self-portrait times 25. Hot, sticky July. Bumper crop
    of mosquitoes. Behind the scenes: tripod, camera w/timer, large
    can of insect repellent, towels to mop sweat from our faces.
 AIM: To get a good photo for the invitation to our annual Labor
    Day party (We write mysteries for a living, so it was only natural
    to go gangster-themed for the invitations.)
 (Just ask Pretty Boy Loren!)
 SHOOT: Twenty-five times, I framed the shot, then ran through
    weeds and brambles in heels and stockings to grab cigarette,
    strike a garter-baring pose, and pull a Bonnie Parker attitude
    before the seven-second timer triggered the lens. Signed: Machine
